350 local school children and residents attended workshops on the themes of water, air, noise, waste management, energy and biodiversity, discovering just how important environment protection is at Cannes- Mandelieu.

19 September Marketing Award in Dubai

Nice Côte d’Azur was the only French airport to be recognised by airlines for its marketing policy, receiving an award in the 5- to 10- million-passenger category at the 12th Routes trade fair.

4 October New Environment Charter signed and 6th Environment Round Table

Building on the policy initiated by the Chamber of Commerce in 2000 with its first
Environment Charter, a new Charter was signed with all partners interested in how the airport impacts its environment. On the same day, the 6th Environment Round Table focused on new technologies and
meteorology.

8 December New CCTV at Cannes-Mandelieu
The security system at Cannes-Mandelieu Airport was reinforced with 31 new CCTV cameras;
it now matches the system at Nice.

15 December The Chamber of Commerce celebrated 50 years at the helm of French Riviera Airports
50 years plus one night… French Riviera Airports have been nurtured since 1946 to foster the development of the Alpes- Maritimes. Over 1,200 VIPs gathered together in Terminal 2 to celebrate this poignant and symbolic anniversary.
